I ordered a chili rellano plate , the guy at the window said "do you want everything on it " .. I said sure I guess so (I couldn't figure out why he would ask me that ) ... Next thing I know he hands my wife a burrito ... WTF ? She said we ordered a plate , and the chingaso said " Oh no he ordered a burrito " We paid already and he did not offer to make it right ... The burrito had no beans and was 50% shredded lettuce 45% rice and had 1 chili chopped up in it ... My wife ordered a chicken street taco , It was 50% lettuce and 50% rice with tiny cubes of chicken ... And not much chicken either , how do these Capullo's stay in business ? I will never return , go to Tacos El Pueblo instead ...

The food is always excellent and fresh. I highly recommend it. Easily my favorite mexican food in eureka. They are also super friendly. I’ve always had a great experience there.

Best chile rellenos in town! Now my fave taco truck.

Yep, if you live close by, it is worth the walk. The burritos are of good size and its nice that they set some tables outside for those that just want to take a seat for a minute before having to go back to work. Love the drink selection. And the pico is awesome ! I only had one time where my carnitas were super super dry.

The carne asada tacos were good. Asada salad was delicious! I’ve had much better chicken tacos though. We did kinda catch them as they were closing. We will definitely try again. Overall it was a good meal and fast friendly service!

Service was friendly, but the food was not too great. The first time I stopped by, I ordered a fish burrito and it was dry, sponge-like and so very bland. Also, they used breaded«fish» and I’m not even sure if it was actually fish. Hey, maybe the first time was a fluke? So, I came by a second time. This time I ordered a carne asada burrito, pretty hard to mess that up, right? The carne burrito was a bit better, but really, not by much. The meat was dry, bland, and no amount of salsa can save it. Maybe I should’ve tried the tacos, but I think I’m going to pass this place from now on.

I’ve frequented the truck since it’s opening. It is by far the best Mexican food behind the Redwood Curtain. Their hours are convenient and their prices won’t make you think twice about grabbing some good food with serving sizes enough to fill the belly.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in the whole area! I’ve been eating here for years, literally. Always love the food(love the Chile rellenos and crispy tacos) and the workers are always quick even when it gets super busy.

Super good burritos! I usually get the super veggie and it is always delish. Even when they get really busy they are still fast and the quality of food is still good.

Ordered a torta de pastor. It was cold. The pastor was flavorless and very disappointing. Portion size was fair for the price and for NorCal standards. Usually taco trucks are places where you can count on getting some good mexican food, but sadly this isn’t so. I was hoping speedytaco would come through with all these high ratings, but unfortunately it fell short.

Usually the burritos are super delicious, but the past 2 or 3 times I’ve gone they have been kind of soggy and not fresh. Hopefully they haven’t changed.

These guys know how to whip up a taco! Good taste, reasonable price though it seems that they could come up with a way to keep the drinks cold. Very nice people and I would not hesitate to swing by.

Same truck and owners with the fresh and affordable, quality handmade food you’ve always appreciated, now in a new location a few blocks down Broadway. In the Sport and Cycle parking lot near the corner of Wabash, easy to find, very convenient. Handful of tables. Recommend the al pastor and carne asada in tacos or super burritos. Very tasty and quickly prepared unless it is the lunch hour rush.

The best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. Super fresh ingredients and awesome flavor. I eat dinner here every day and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is superb even the fish tacos and I hate fish tacos, ha ha! The price is insanely cheap for the portions and the quality of the food. The staff is always super friendly. I would starve to death without them! If you haven’t ate here I feel sad for you… It’s an experience you won’t forget.

So many taco trucks in Arcata/Eureka, but Speedy Taco stands out from the rest. The others are bland… Speedy is delicious! They are certainly a staple in my diet! And appropriately named for those on that quick lunch hour. Burritos are my main bite at a taco truck… and you can tell a lot by the beans. Speedy’s beans are my favorite in the area, full of flavor. Always reasonable pricing! Can’t beat the Speedy Taco Truck!

*HELP* Does anybody know how to get in touch with them? I have an event I’d like to hire them for and don’t see any contact information. I live in Southern California and would like to set it up from here, if possible. Thanks fellow Unilocalers! Nicole

The high ratings and glowing reviews for Speedy Taco don’t surprise me at all. This is simply the best taco truck this side of paradise. When I lived and worked in Eureka, Speedy Taco parked across the street from my place of employment every day around lunch. The temptation was too great to resist; I ate there most days, and then spent the next hour recovering, because their burritos are so enormous that I could barely move after wolfing one down. I have to admit that I didn’t try many of Speedy’s offerings. The first time I ate there, I had the carne asada burrito and adored it so much I hardly ever ordered anything else – and, as I stated, the burrito was so huge that ordering more food would have been a waste of money. This was the first Mexican joint I frequented that had salsa that I truly loved. The pureed red tomatillo salsa is spicy, tangy and may be ambrosia’s spicy cousin. I nearly drank the stuff. Now I’m back in LA and I’ve been searching for a taco truck or restaurant that can compare to Speedy Taco. The only one I’ve found is in Pasadena, miles away, unfortunately, and while their salsa is delicious, it can’t compare to Speedy’s(though this place – Puebla Tacos – does make the best carnitas I’ve ever had). My greatest desire is that Speedy Taco can someday clone their taco truck(and staff, of course) and situate one in every major city, starting with LA. Just be sure you park it somewhere near my house.
