I stopped in here yesterday and had a cup of coffee. It was standard Chinatown coffee but a bit higher priced than at some of the other bakeries I have visited. In fairness the pastries looked very good but I did not try any. They were a bit higher in price than at some of the other local bakeries but because I did not try them, it would be unfair to judge them. The bakery itself is small, clean and the staff was friendly. I will have to give them another try but for now 3.5 stars.

Following a frigid cold morning of viewing the 2014 Flushing Lunar New Year parade with a friend we ventured to Alpha Bakery in hopes of sweets particularly cakes. I hoped for green tea cake which we got. I’m not a fan of Fay Da. Limited seating is available. Just OK– AY.

In this day and age, Bakeries don’t always make their own baked goods anymore. This one does. Unlike Fay Da that gets their baked goods in a large shipment from Brooklyn, this one still uses an actual oven onsite. And, they let me put my bike by the door to run in and buy some Pullman Bread. They are a nice place with nice people.

Great lil bakery. I highly recommend the custard mini cake. The tiramisu runs out fast. Stick to getting cake and fresh bread. Skip the bubble tea. The service was great! Very friendly. Very welcoming.

Pastries are OK. Nothing remarkable. I like coming to this place for a coffee break and not having to deal with the Flushing riff raff. Seating is comfortable and the staff is friendly.

I got 2 birthday cakes from here. Both were fruit sponge cake and they were awesome! I kinda like the crazy clubby décor. Its a quite place where u can sit n chat or just read.

No more crème brûlée. Pastries don’t seem very consistent here.
