I am absolutely addicted. I have spent somewhere in the ballpark of $ 3,000 I think in the last 2 months on what are now my staple wardrobe essentials. The chaturanga leggings, asana muscle tanks, aspire ankle pants, sonar capris, tulip dresses and more are my spirit clothing. Haha! Seriously. I am phasing out my entire closet at this point and replacing it with Athleta. High quality clothes, great fit, awesome color options — plus it’s free and easy to ship returns(I’ve ordered almost everything online). Customer service is great too. My only quibble would be that with as much as I have spent, I’m bummed I don’t get any special coupons or promotion codes! I feel like I’ve earned it. Haha

Look out Lululemon, there’s a new game in town. As a Banana Republic cardholder, I have been fortunate to sample the spectrum of brands(Old Navy/Gap/BR/Piperlime) but until recently had not dipped my toes into the waters of Athleta. In spite of receiving catalogs/promotional emails from this link in the Gap, Inc. family of brands, I was wary of purchasing athletic apparel online, sight unseen. With Gap/BR it is a different story, as I usually scope out the items in store and, for the most part, know how these lines look and fit. On my most recent venture to Athleta, I was pleasantly surprised to note that the store had several items on sale, in spite of the fact that they had opened for business only a short time ago. The space itself is light and bright, whereas all Lulus that I have been in have a tendency to be on the darker side. I also appreciated the variety of offerings, as I scored a couple of tops for Pilates, and a ripstop skirt, in addition to a swim dress/coverup to wear poolside. It is good to have apparel for a range of activities –after all, just how many pairs of(potentially see-through) black yoga pants does one really need? I will be back to this store, or ordering online, whenever my gym wardrobe needs a lift.
