Great phở ga! Super tasty, very fragrant and very fresh. Would have given 5 stars, but I got mine to-go, and the noodles — packaged separately — were really stuck together. I had to let them soak in the broth quite a while before the we’re edible. Will definitely return!

Do not order from this restaurant I ordered The Mongolian delight and it was awful. It’s the first time I’ve had Mongolian with barbecue pork there was more rice than actual food in the tray I also ordered crab puffs and they were squeezed to only have the bare minimum of cream cheese to fill that puff it was awful I thought I got Robbed I’m looking at it and I’m just hoping that somehow they managed not to screw up the Diet Coke! Very dissatisfied

Used to be so good… But had taken a dive in quality and cleanliness. Sitting here listening to the staff swear and joke while the stuff on the tablet looked liked the picture I just took. The spring rolls were uncooked and mushy in the middle… Ew.

We came here after an afternoon movie at The Loft, and it hit the spot. I recommend the Thai chicken with the red curry, which is a little more spicy. Also delicious are the Vietnamese crêpe and the rice vermicelli with grilled chicken. We like the 1st Avenue location better because the lighting and ambiance is more comfortable. Also this place is open till 9 p.m. 7 days a week — we’re definitely coming back.

I felt like you should go here only for Vietnamese food. We ordered a Vietnamese dish, a Chinese dish, and a Thai dish. The Chinese and Thai were not good. And the bubble teas we ordeed were nasty– no real fruit, just a mix… their Chinese and Thai tasted like store bought sauces were poured on the precooked weird chicken. Their rice was weird too… so maybe go for the phở. We won’t return because just down the street is a better Vietnamese place, ha long bay.

Came here last night and I loved it! I ordered the sesame beef and my boyfriend ordered Mongolian beef. We also had crab puffs as an appetizer and they were delicious! The décor is different but very nice and the staff was pleasant. They have frww wifi and a computer incase you need go use it. They even have a drive thru for pick up orders. Definitely will be returning!

Can your group not decide whether to get Vietnamese, Chinese, or Thai food? Then this is the place to go! They have 3 sections on their menu, one panel for each type of food. Overall great quality and reasonable pricing. Get one of the Bobas, they are so good! My favorite is the mango boba.

I used to come here with my Dad when I was a kid and remembered loving the phở. It was the first place I had ever had it and it made me fall in love with Vietnamese food and for that I’m grateful. I’ve since moved to north Tucson and haven’t been here for a long time and unfortunately my recent trip didn’t compare well to my memory. The service was good and the staff friendly but the food was just so so. The phở broth seemed watery and lacking in flavor, like ample amounts of plain water had been added to the stock to extend it. I’d recommend Com Tam Thuan Kieu on Orange Grove(my favorite) or Miss Saigon on Campbell(second favorite) for heartier broth with your phở.

Good food! I got vermicelli noodles and pork. The spring roll on top was so good that we got the appetizer afterward. But to add the spring roll on my order was a dollar extra and to get an appetizer(twice that amount) it was $ 5 which doesn’t equate to me. My husband liked the sweet and sour pork. We just wish we left a little more full. The service was great and it was clean. I think we’ll visit again.

Oh man this place has good stuff! Vietnamese, Chinese, or Thai — great variety of food! I was craving Vietnamese, so I ordered #33BBQ pork, rice, steamed egg(substituted with fried egg) with soup. Great value and so yummy! I also ordered the taro bubble tea which was just as yummy as my meal. When I come back to Tucson I will make this a stop again to try the other dishes!

Update: it’s an easy decision to not come here. You can find better food elsewhere. Rich’s recommendation: avoid.

There wasn’t anything special about this place. I’m used to Miss Saigon or out of state Vietnamese places. The phở was average, the rice meals were limited, and I tried the thai curry, which had a bit too much salt. My boyfriend had a clay bowl of peppered chicken and he said it was like paying $ 10 for a meal he could have made at home. The food wasn’t bad, but it was average and I don’t want to pay for average. That’s what my kitchen is for ;)

I had a very tasty lunch served my an amiable young man. The Boba tea wasn’t my favorite, but my rice bowl more than made up for it. Two different kinds of tasty pork atop a bowl of veggies and rice noodles served with fish sauce. light, delicious, and filling.

The wife and I have been coming here quite a lot recently, as she has been on a Phở fix and I generally do what she tells me to. You know, because I love her. So after much searching for her favorite Phở she and I both have to agree that this is our favorite in town, though I think we have slightly different reasoning. We both like the 12-C. That’s rare beef with vegetables. She like’s Dao’s because she feels its the best quality Phở in Tucson. I feel its very very good quality, maybe there’s one broth that I like better, BUT I like the 12-C because it has both the rare beef and the added vegetables in it. It has cabbage and broccoli and carrots, etc. Most places don’t offer something comparable. Recently, I have been veering away from the Phở menu to try some of the other things this place has to offer. The clay pot entrees I have enjoyed very much, in particular the ginger chicken. The chicken itself was a little rubbery, but if you LOVE ginger like I LOVE ginger, then you will LOVE this dish. Delicious. We always get boba teas to go. This place offers some of the better boba in Tucson, so I highly recommend it. So far the Phở is the best thing that I’ve had here, but since we go so often I am going to continue my exploration of the menu a bit longer before I return to where I started. I do enjoy a restaurant that affords me that opportunity, though!

In my opinion, best phở in Tucson. This place is delicious. I love it here. I only very recently discovered phở, and have made it my life’s work to try all the phở in Tucson. While I have found some exceptional places, this one just takes the cake! Now, what I usually get is the rare beef slices with veggies(12c on the menu), and it is hands down the best phở I’ve had. I did have the rare beef slices sans veggies the first time, and it was also spectacular, but those veggies add new textures and yummy flavors into something that was already delicious. The boba teas are a delight as well. I get the green tea with pearls, which is my standard whenever I get a boba, and this one also happens to be the best I’ve had in Tucson. It’s not super sweet, which I enjoy, and the pearls are the perfect size and consistency. Me gusta a lot. The service is always good. The servers don’t hover around you and you get your drinks and food in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is cute and somewhat minimal, with a cool fish tank, neat paintings on the walls, really nothing fancy. But hey, if they want to focus solely on making the best phở in all of the city instead of fancier chairs, that’s fine and dandy with me! It’s quick enough that I can meet my husband here on his lunch break and have him get back to work on time, but I’ve never felt rushed to leave. In the words of The Terminator, «I’ll be back!»

Very disappointed, came here the other day. a large boba is DOUBLE the price so $ 3.50×2, and then there is an additional $ 1.08 charge for extra boba. I am so confused, there are multiple things wrong with this. How can a large boba be $ 7.00? this is unheard of, and if anything if I’m paying for double the amount of boba to begin with, why is there an additional $ 1 and some change charge for extra boba? Additionally, the lychee boba I ordered to go was not full when it was given to me.(See pictures for reference). Even though I like the food here, I am extremely upset with the way they are doing business here. $ 8.00 for a large boba is simply ridiculous.

My friend and I were pretty skeptical of this restaurant because the rating, but it actually deserves more stars and great ratings. We went on a limb going here, or so we thought, because we were really wanting phở and Ha Long Bay was closed. Originally, we were going to go with Snow Pea because it had a higher rating than this restaurant. We later found out we made a better choice getting phở from here. Another plus, the servers are very polite and courteous. It doesn’t normally take too long for us to get service and our food.

I enjoy the phở here at Tai Pan’s. The broth is delicious. I get their slice rare steak bowl every time(see my photos) and have been coming here for years. The mint/jalapeño/cilantro/bean sprout side with the phở is always very fresh. Service is great and the Eastside location is wonderful for me and very close to the Park Place mall. The Chinese dishes here are only okay. There are much better places elsewhere if you feel like Chinese. We always were able to find seating and service is fast.
