Revisited since the grand re-opening and i have to say i cant really see what took them so long. There is now an upstairs seating area and booths on the main eating area. There are a few new options on the gluten free menhu but i have to say i think i have been spoiled by the gluten free options at ed’s. The food was just ok tonight. The servers were lovely tho.

Ordered the mushroom stack without realising that it didn’t contain a vegetarian burger — oops! What came instead was a burger bun containing 3 large flat mushrooms — try eating that without them moving about. Delicious nonetheless. Staff attentive and we’re enjoying watching the world go by as I tuck into a side of chips and onion rings. Good times.

Stopped in here with Natalie B. and family for a quick dinner before attending the friends and family night at the new Cineworld Silverburn! I’d previously heard average things about Handmade Burger Co. from friends who said the sheer volume of choice on the menu meant nothing was really perfected, unlike Five Guys, for instance. I’m happy to say, reviews of it’s mediocrity had been greatly exaggerated. I really enjoyed my meal here. We were greeted by our server who was almost at American levels of cheeriness. He explained the ordering protocol — take your order up to the till point where you will be given a number and a glass if you’ve bought a bottomless juice. He also said that if we ordered the peanut butter burger and didn’t like it he’d refund our money — this was pretty much never an option for us though since we were two veggies and two peanut butter avoiders — but was a nice gesture I guess. Natalie B and I ended up getting the sweet potato and bean burger, hers with brie and mines with swiss cheese. It was enormous and very tasty! I really liked the mango and ginger salsa, it was very fresh and something a bit different! I kind of wish I got it on a brioche bun though, maybe next time! Our dad had the blue cheese and bacon burger(no veg please!) and our grandad had the smokey barbecue burger and both enjoy them very much! We made a fatal error however in getting too many chips! I would say two portions is enough between four people. We had eyes bigger than our bellies and ordered three! I had the rosemary salt chips which were absolutely amazing! They were super crispy and very well seasoned. Natalie B had Peri-Peri chips which she said were a tad on the spicy side so she couldn’t manage to eat them all. We also had normal chips which our dad thoroughly enjoyed also! We didn’t stay for dessert but they looked nice, maybe next time. I would say if you’re visiting Silverburn and are in need of a good traditional feed, Handmade Burger Co. is the place to go! Conveniently located right next to the new Cineworld, why not make an evening out of it?!

I have been here so many times and I’ve never been disappointed. The burgers are always delicious and the portions are decent sizes. Two burgers and a bowl of fries has always filled us up just right. Food comes out quickly enough even when it’s busy and the staff have always been very friendly and chatty. The only downside that there has ever been to this particular branch has been the draught from the doors; however, with the new extension this is no longer a problem. With a choice between here and Five Guys opposite, I would always choose here. The burgers seem to be better quality and there is a much larger choice of options and for the price you can’t complain.

Visited this place on a busy Saturday so the actual food service was slow, at one point the restaurant was full but i don’t think a single table had food apart from a table of children enjoying a birthday party. I was really impressed with the selection of burgers particularly how many choices there were for vegans. The waiting staff were brilliant, really happy, attentive and helpful. In the end i thought the burgers were expensive though considering you had to pay extra for salad, chips, coleslaw, just shy of £10 for just a burger is not for me, I’m not sure i would go again.

This is the worst experience in glasgow so far. The service was extremely slow, food taste was below average, plus they served me bottled water while I asked for tap water, and served me classic burger, when I ordered a small one. I have an impression that they only want to exploit customers. Will never return here again.

So it is always hard to review a chain by visiting one branch. We were stopping by in silverburn to pick up some bits and pieces for Christmas and were looking for a nice meal. My dad decided to give this place a try. Mediocre is about the only thing I can use to describe them not good but not bad. Burgers were a bit dry and chips undercooked and unseasoned. There is a massive choice of potential burgers in my opinion far too many. But as a chain it is not an outlets decision. Staff were very over enthusiastic and a bit too in your face for my liking. Price wise it is very over priced for what you actually get and i can’t say I will be back. There are far far better burgers all over Glasgow for the same price of cheaper.

Beautiful burgers which come with various toppings. The sides are huge and so are the burgers. Milkshakes delicious and the place is big enough and airy as it is in the shopping centre. Would recommend to try.

We had three burgers between four,(wee girl not too well) for £21.00. Can’t think of anything too eloquent to say about this other than it was nice and, not McDonald’s! Good service, friendly staff and VFM, which is always nice!

I love this place. I’ve yet to have a bad meal at this place and I don’t just mean the burgers. The salads, the sides and especially the chips are amazing. The staff are friendly, approachable, and know their menu very well. Probably my favourite place to eat in Silverburn and definitely the best Handmade Burger Co. franchise I’ve been too.

Just before Christmas, my friend and I ventured out to Silverburn to finish up our Christmas shopping. Every time we go to this mall in particular, we eat at Handmade Burger Co. The atmosphere is loud, but that’s to be expected, as its part of the mall ‘food court’. It’s hard to imagine why people would choose your run of the mill food court options, when you can choose this place. The staff is friendly enough, making sure you understand the menu and the ordering process. While it is a sit down restaurant, you have to order your meal at the counter first before you’re given a number and your food is brought out to you. I’d been craving a good old fashion burger for quite sometime now, but went with the Mexican Burger with bacon. The burger itself was tasty but the guacamole was brown and slightly off putting. Knowing that just means the avocado has been sitting too long, I ate it anyway. My only complaint would be that the bacon was like eating slabs of ham on my burger. Too much pig, not enough crisp. My friend got a vegetarian burger, which was basically two whole bell peppers cut in half on a bun with a bit of pesto and a small chunk of goats cheese. While eating it, he quite enjoyed it, but has since been put off by the amount of peppers and has yet to eat them again in any meal since. Ha! All in all, this place is great and despite the few complaints, we’ll be back.

Ever had a super tasty aberdeen angus burger? Ever had a flame grilled burger from Burger King? Ever imagined what some epic hybrid of the two might taste like? In love with this place after my first visit. They do burgers, as one might expect, and little else. But that’s okay! Because what they do, they do well. Nae cheap, but it’s really good quality where I recommend side of flame grilled vegetables in addition to the burgers. One of those burger joints like wannaburger where you’re sides clock in on top of your burger where you will be paying £6/7 just for a burger, which is expensive. Me and my missus, both capitalising on our eternal student status managed to get a burger each, sharing two sides of fries and flame grilled vegetables plus drinks for under £20. Delighted. Double student discount night on Monday nights for anyone else in the position to get the most out of that. One of the many eateries in Silverburn, I recommend this for the food, the service and the location where you are removed from all the hullaballoo and get a nice view of the mesmerising fountain that seems to draw a bigger audience than any of the shops.

I’m still a fan. We ate here again recently and this time i had a proper burger a ploughman’s in fact. It was delicious and may well become my favourite burger ever!
