I’m mean… technically there’s nothing wrong with wasabi, but having said that. .. . there’s nothing right about it either. If that makes sense. Yes the sushi is nice, nothing to write to your grandmother with a chicken plume about though. The hot meals are pretty decent the first time, the second they’re OK, the third time it’s like«dammit don’t you have anything new up in here?!» Then you tend to stomp out of there in a fit of grumbles. And there lies the problem, they don’t change the menu often enough, so if you’re into repetition, this is the place for you. Mc donalds changes their menu more than them, that’s saying something.

Wasabi is one of my favourite takeout places for their hot good. It’s always best at lunchtime when the food is freshly cooked, however you can get some discounted left over pots later in the evening of you don’t mind reheated meals. While I thought the Waterloo one would be crowded with commuters, it was quite the opposite so I managed to get my lunch without waiting at all. Perfect for when you are in a hurry to get back to work. My favourite dish is the chicken katsu curry, because it’s soft and melts in your mouth. I definitely think that it’s a lunchtime treat compared to the other high street choices so if you have one near you it’s definitely worth a visit.

I have only been to 2 Wasabi restaurants and the one in Waterloo Station was my go-to while I lived in London. The reason is because the portion sizes were significantly greater than those at the South Kensington restaurant, for the same price. This place gives you much more rice that I usually don’t even finish it because it is so much. I always finished my meal whenever I ate at South Kensington. This one definitely gives you more bang for your buck.

I tried it out twice now. It is a convenient place when i’m on my way home from Waterloo or after my grocery shopping near-by. The quality isn’t bad. It’s not the most astounding sushis i had in my life obviously, but for the price it is fairly acceptable and its helps me out when i can’t be bothered to cook or go out. They offer a wide range of choice whether in assorted boxes or individual pieces. I have tried 3 of their boxes and i was satisfied with what i got. The miso soup was too salty but after distilling it was pretty good. I never tried their hot food but it’s over a counter and you get to choose your noodles/rice and meat. I never ate on site but they have a small sitting area. It’s near the entrance so it might become uncomfortable when the flow of people is heavy. The shop is pretty small but then again it’s a train station shop.

Quick stop for some fried rice and noodles nothing special just another Chinese franchise restaurant inside a train station. Fast and clean

This is probably the most disorganised and poorly managed wasabi I have been to. Ever! I enjoy a bit of guilty pleasure which is wasabi and although I spend minutes looking at one section to decide what to eat, here I am looking at one section to make which label is for what. It is a small space so human traffic can be another story. It’s London so nobody cares who was first, as long as the attendant makes eye contact with them, they are in front of you. The meals look as if they were there the day before and only desperation, as on today’s case, would get me buying from this particular Wasabi.

It’s a Wasabi, so you kinda know what you’re getting. They have the full range of food here, and they keep it stocked up. It helps that they’re right in the station, so you can get a quick bite on the way to the train. Two things need fixing here. First is traffic flow. It’s a small space, so queueing to pay, queueing to order, and browsing the pre-made sushi are all one space. At busy times it’s annoying because people are moving so much in different directions. The other thing that needs fixing is the monitoring of the dining area. Some people seem to lose their minds and just leave packaging and food out. Try to sit down upstairs for a quick bite during busy times, and you’re likely to find wrappers and bags and stuff out on unoccupied tables. The last time I was there, I didn’t even find a bin on the first floor to throw other people’s stuff into. So it’s pretty utilitarian, but it’s in a train station, so that’s what you expect. They have a pretty clean toilet here, which is helpful, too, because the station toilets are all the way at the other end of the building.

This is the place I go to when I want sushi on a low budget. I always go for take away as it’s cheaper than eat in. I have never bought soy sauce and wasabi there for I either would eat at home where I have a lot of unused soy sauce and wasabi from other places, or I would just eat them as is. The sushi quality is just average but having eaten other sushi around London I would say this is already above average in london, especially for its price. The aloe vera drinks are pretty good too! I’ve never tried the hot food and probably would never because they really don’t look appetizing to me at all.

Quick and very cheap, especially the prepacked bento boxes. The only thing is that most of the sushi taste quite similar in taste(apart from the chicken ones). They have many seats at the place, esp. considering the fact that it’s within the train station.

One of the few Wasabi locations with a good bit of seating. That + the usual yummy standard of food and it’s 4 stars!

Passed by this evening when I felt so tired and hungry so I decided to give it a try and ordered a tofu curry(upgraded to large size). it was very good and made me feel energetic again!

I like Wasabi. Its quick, easy and cheap. Today I had the spicy chicken(without rice) for £4.95 and it was a massive portion. The spicy chicken isn’t as good and the chicken curry or chicken katsu though!

Situated inside the Waterloo station, the queue can understandably be quite long at lunch hour, but four cashiers do keep the crowds moving. This is probably one of the smallest outlets I’ve seen of Wasabi though it has not disappointed in the way of selection and stock.

Eigentlich ganz OK und cool. Schnelles Sushi für zwischendurch. Alles frisch auch wenn es in der Auslage liegt. War lecker. Nur zum ausweilen und sitzen lädt es nicht gerade ein.

Wasabi saved my Tuesday. Seriously. I was having the worst day. After wandering angrily for a bit and realising it was too cold to just walk around, I decided to get some lunch at Wasabi. I’ve eaten at this Wasabi and others before and(as usual) got Spicy Chicken Noodle Soup(and 2 salmon nigiri!). The wait was pretty rediculous, I think the staff may have forgotten my noodle soup, because they were so busy serving the lunch time rush, it stayed in the microwave for ages. When it was ready, I took it upstairs and ate it on a(very tall!) green chair, looking out of a window at the station. It was very hot and tasty, but the chicken was slightly dry. The upstairs eating area was warm, not too crowded and I managed to make the soup and sushi last me an hour, before heading out much happier than I was. 3 stars not 4 for a long wait and charging for soy-sauce(SO stupid).

These places are springing up around town and i’m happy. Great value food. Lots of choice of individual sushi for a quick snack or a lunck pack for £5−9. Also hot food on offer and portions are good. A few seats to eat in if it is quiet.

The curry katsu and teriyaki chicken are both decent, if a bit awkward to eat in their bucket-style containers. Grab-n-go at its finest.

Cheap sushi and warm food can be had, here. You can buy prepackaged sushi boxes, or pick your own sushi. When buying your own selection, simply pick whichever individually wrapped sushi from the shelf and put it in your tray. The individually wrapped sushi are both a blessing and a curse, in that you can pick whatever you want in any amount, but will have to spend time opening every one that you want. The food here is fairly decent. It’s not spectacular, but is quite cost effective, if you’re just looking to have some Asian food. Also, wasabi for your sushi costs extra at Wasabi. Y U NOBEREASONABLE?!

This is a sushi and bento chain(about a dozen places in London). Despite being a chain, the food is fantastic — as testified by the lunchtime queues down the street at the Victoria Street branch. Although it’s mainly takeaway, there are seats. There is a fantastic range of either individual sushi, or boxed sets, as well as salads(the Chicken Katsu Salad — £4.95 or £5.81 eat in — is my favourite: delicious breadcrumb coated chicken, edame, carrot and lettuce salad, with a delicious spicy sauce). There is also a good variety of hot food, from noodles, to teryaki, curry, etc. And the helpings are generous — go when you are hungry. A marvellous Asian alternative to Pret.

Wasabi is great at lunchtime, you pick up a small Wasabi tray on your entrance and you are greeted with rows of different types of sushi to either take away or eat in. There is a good vegetarian selection, and the seaweed wrap is really tasty. You have to pay 5p for a sachet of soy sauce and you have to pay to eat in. Next to the till, you have the option of hot food, curries etc. I have also had the soup here and it is very tasty. If you are looking for something quick, tasty and healthy then this is your place.
