Most definitely one of my fave of «all time» — I have been going there since 1960, hasn’t changed since. Best French traditional food. Le the cold cuts. Nice ambiance. No matter what I do when in Paris, my first visit is to D’chez eux. No visit to Paris is worth without a visit to this amazing joint. I just love it!

The last dinner we had in Paris was here at D’Chez Eux since it came recommended by a friend. Greeted by 3 gentlemen whom were extremely friendly and was quickly escorted to our table in the back. While we browsed the menu, the waiter brought out bread and a few slices of salami, which seems to be the norm at restaurants in Paris. I did see the waiter floating between a few tables carrying a large basket full of different sausages but didn’t see that being offered as an appetizer. I started my meal off with the pâté en croute which was one of the two foie gras items available as an appetizer. Though I thought the pâté was good it was super rich making it hard to finish especially since it was cold. I decided to order the hanger steak as my main since it was served with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly but thought that it needed to be seasoned a bit more. The shallot sauce was good but seemed to be missing something. The fries on the other hand were perfectly fried and were tasty as hell. I should’ve asked whether I could’ve ordered the filet with the fries instead of the sauteed potatoes. For dessert we opted for the cherries with kirsch sauce. The super tart cherries paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Wished they would’ve given more of the ice cream to balance out the tartness of the cherries but it was still good. The two servers were super friendly and were very welcoming. Would definitely come back in the future since my wife loved their escargots. It seems as the dress code is more relaxed as there was a family sitting near us just wearing jeans and a sweatshirt.

Escargots!!! I cannot express how much I love escargots so when I saw they had it on their menu I had to get it as my entrée. My friend recommended this place for dinner so I made reservation to come. Very old fashion place with a lot of charm. People in Paris must eat dinner later at night because we got there at 7:15pm and there was only one other party. It was not until 8:30 or 9 did it start to fill up with patrons. Cutest décor. There was this pig on their plate which I would have loved to take home. I started with the white asparagus and my husband had the foie gras pâté. The white asparagus were tender and thick. My husband enjoyed the pâté. I wanted two rounds of escargot as my main dish but the waiter suggested to eat 12 first and see how I feel. I was in escargot heaven. Give me a basket of bread and the escargot and I am happy as a clam. The escargots were pipping hot and full of garlic flavor. Pair the garlic and oil with the baguette and it is yummy to the tummy. For round two the waiter suggested 6 as oppose to 12. I think he was afraid it would be too heavy for me. 6 was perfect because I had two more pieces of bread with the escargots. My husband had the hanger steak and he said that was ok. I was too busy with my escargots to even try his steak. I did steal a few fries off his plate and those were good. For dessert we shared the cherries in wine with vanilla ice cream. Great way to end the meal! Staff is friendly and funny. I saw this waiter walk back and forth with this salami basket and he stopped by to let me look. Wide variety of salmi. Very old fashion and cute décor with delicious food. If you love escargots you need to come here!

Had a nice long lunch here in late October 2015. I loved it. Our young waiter spoke English well(which worked out nicely, as my French is lamentably limited to a few words, and pointing) and was gracious while having an appropriate amount of fun with us. We both had the prix fixe, which probably bored the hell out of the kitchen, but both were very good(we ordered different entrees and plates). We had champagne to start, and a nice Pinot with the meal. They do not mess around with dessert — it’s very good, and there is a lot of it. Les Invalides is nearby, and a great place to walk off your meal for a while. I would definitely go back.

A little hard to find, google maps doesn’t really have it at quite the right spot. But once you get these — food is spectacular. I had the frogs legs, got a whole plate of them, probably 20 legs. Nicely fried and good tasting. Then we had the cassoulet, which was also amazing. The rose wine by the carafe that they had was the best wine we had while in France. A little pricey, 45 euros for a carafe, but really the highlight of the meal. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best restaurants in Paris. I have been here twice and both meals are some of the best I have ever had. It is pricey, though definitely worth it if you are willing to go for it and want an amazing, authentic French meal. It is a wonderful experience and hopefully something you won’t forgot if you visit. The service was the best I have seen in Paris, which can sometimes be hard to come by. It helps to know and speak some French, but it won’t be a deciding factor if you don’t. The ambiance is fairly traditional and adds to the French experience. There are some great wines on the wine list. We opted for the Côte du Rhôné, which was the best of its kind that I have ever had. The escargots are a must. If you like escargots or are willing to try them, definitely have them here. For the main dishes, I have had a Boeuf Bourgogne(the best I have ever had) and a Cuisse de Canard Confite, which was absolutely delicious and not salty like most duck confits seem to be. The mousse au chocolat noir is also amazing if you want dessert and like chocolate mousse. Overall, if you want an amazing French, local experience in Paris and are ok with the price tag, you should definitely have dinner at D’Chez Eux. I hope you enjoy your meal(s) as much as I did.

The food is excellent, plentiful, and impeccable. You will be well-fed. I only took off one star because they upcharged our main dish without us actually agreeing to it.

We visited D’chez Eux at the strong recommendation of a friend, and after reading outstanding reviews of this old-school, classicly French restaurant. Sadly, we walked away exceedingly disappointed. We were a family of five dining together, in search of a unique French experience. The positives: staff was friendly and attentive and good with kids. The cons: food was very expensive, but it was not unique, nothing that we tried(and we tried many dishes) was particularly noteworthy, and not a single dish stood out as exceptional. The bill was quite large, and ultimately the food did not match the price. Overall, sadly, a disappointing experience and one we would not recommend to others.

Amazing food and they treat you so well including our kids 7&10. The veal and confit de canard are incredible. The starters mains and desserts are all amazing. A must eat at restaurant and mostly locals.

We had a fantastic lunch here. The simple and tasty menu was perfect. The panoply of dessert choices was solved by a sampler of all of them. The staff were brilliant and engaging but not hovering. A very enjoyable experience. Do not pass this place by.

Back in Paris after 15+ years and had to return here as it was so outstanding on our last visit. I am pleased to report, it still is! Still expensive, but worth it for sure. We had lunch today which was more than any of us could finish. We did manage to have the mousse au chocolat and it was as good as we remembered. Make sure you have a selection of their sausages.

The restaurant was recommended by a waiter we had the night before. We asked where do you go to eat good french food. Chez Eux did not disappoint. Very laid back atmosphere and the food was excellent as was the attention we received from the staff. We ordered the escargot to start and it was the best i had. Then I had the cassoulet d’ canard which was also great. Donyour self a favor and stop by especially if your not sure where to go while in Paris.

Apparently no one who uses Unilocal in English dines here… which is unfortunate, because this place is a gem. In the 7th with a good view of the Eiffel Tower just outside, D’Chez Eux was recommended to me for their great sausages and cold cuts. As a tourist(yes, I know this influences things), it’s hard to find areas where you can speak English and feel comfortable. D’Chez Eux respects the fact that I have terrible French, and managed to serve me some great wine, pork sausages that each received a good explanation, and delicious main course, while maintaining a certain Hippocratic oath for food that other tourist traps just can’t say. I ordered some cod, served with tomatoes and basil sauce, and the lady some duck confit. Both done well, and I wouldn’t mind coming again.

I visited this restaurant twice before under previous ownership. I visited again on Oct 1, 2012. I think I got a bad waiter because the owner and other waiters were fun and solicitious. I staged my meal and told the waiter as much ending in(fluent French) after my meal I’d like the ice cream, a petit café, a Calvados digestif and then a taxi. I received the bill, the ice cream, the café and the Calvados and a receipt for the taxi in ten minutes ALLATTHESAMETIME. After I ate the ice cream, the café was cold, I had to hurry(chug) the digestif, pay the bill bill and get out to the taxi. BTW, I was given a reservation through La Fourchette at 7PM, arrived promptly and was told by the same waiter who was lounging on an outside table, to come back in 30 minutes. So no more for this place as I will not accept this idiotic arrogant behavior. If we as consumers refuse to patronize poor Parisian service, then they will surely change. I’ve had so many great meals throughout France and have seen the pride in their cuisine and service, Sad to see a few mar the fun of France.

A classic french establishment. Red checkered table cloths, wonderful service, and a slice of charcuterie when you sit down. The best escargots i’ve ever had. Covered in amazing garlicy butter wonderfulness. Go here just for these. The portions are enormous and very, very rich. It also is extremely pricey for the simplicity of the food, and the vegetables are cooked way too long for my liking. I’m glad I had the experience, but it won’t be on the top of my list next time I’m in Paris.

I hope this restaurant is still there. It was the first place I ate on my first trip to Paris 13 years ago. It was exactly what you would imagine a French bistro to be. I was in shock and awe of the simple yet beautiful comfort food in front of me. From appetizers to dessert. I loved every minute!
