Well! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal fans and repeat customers for their support and comments over the past 7 years! We have worked very hard to realize this dream and as a husband and wife team, married for 8 years, in business for 7 together with 2 children born into the mix we have certainly learned quite a bit about life! We like to think we have become wiser and have found throughout this journey what is truly important in life and that is to have a life! So with that we announce that we have sold the majority of our business(spaces, equipment, assets) and are taking a well deserved break! We didn’t sell our name, recipes, ideas in case I get bored!!! This was the best deal for us to move on without sacrificing what we have worked so hard on over the years! hmmmm… do I smell a cookbook coming up?! Our last day is December 17th and we intend to enjoy our first Christmas without 18 hour days in 7 years! Thanks again for being a part of our experience in this business! This has been a bitter sweet time with this sale and I hope to one day reflect back and find peace that we made the best decision for our sanity and our family! All the best! I love this cupcake shop. The prices are great($ 2.25), and they have a great selection of flavors(at least 16 different flavors daily). I’ve had cupcakes at a lot of bakeries — Magnolia in NYC, Kara’s cupcakes and Sprinkles in the bay area — to name a few, but I far prefer the filled cupcakes here. The passionfruit cupcakes are amazing. My brother had them for his wedding, and they were a huge hit. We almost always get a dozen when we pass through Banff. The cupcakes are moist, which is where most other bakeries fail for me.

I could not resist going into this cute bakery and trying at least ONE cupcake. There were several flavors to choose from, and we settled on a simple vanilla cake with white frosting. Nice density, good flavor, very good frosting. A little too crumbly but not dry. The size was standard and I don’t remember the cost(it was in Canadian dollars anyway). But I can tell you it was one of our better cupcake experiences! Go on, get a couple while you’re in town. If you are able to run up Tunnel Mountain(all the way to the top where there is a sign congratulating you for reaching the top) and back in less than an hour, you can have more than a couple.

Well this is a beautiful location and although it is done up like a bakery boutique it didn’t have many selections to choose from. Muffins here are only $ 2.25 which is considerably cheaper than Calgary’s $ 4 but they are much smaller plus there were only two muffins to choose from. I had the pumpkin with cream cheese icing muffin but in three bites it was gone and it was a little too sweet for my liking. I would like to come back earlier in the day to see if she has more muffin and pastry selections. The owner was very light spirited and extremely friendly and her attitude is definitely worth another visit back.
