Went here on New Year’s Day and had an excellent experience. The food was excellent as was the service. I like that they did not rush you and we took our time eating our meal and enjoying each others company. I had the Cioppino for my main and it was fantastic. Nice good sized portion as well. They also give bread before the meal which was very good. For dessert, I had the apple crisp and it was great as well. This is an excellent place to go for a romantic dinner.

Overall pretty satisfied — was seeking an upscale restaurant for a treat night out with the girls and willing to splurge on a good steak and wine. Had the New York Steak, Pork Tenderloin, Bison Steak, and added shrimp and bernaise, finished with a DELICIOUS Crème Brûlée. Presentation was amazing. We found the portion sizes a bit small for a main and would have added an appetizer to start if we had known. For $ 36/plate it was delicious but the side veggie/potato portions could have been more generous. Extensive wine menu. Very nice atmosphere but was not busy on a Saturday night in high season — we couldn’t get a reso at Crazy Weed. There has to be something more«happening» in Canmore than this. The Server was insightful and helpful with suggestions and descriptions. It wasn’t very busy or full with customers and it did take a very long time to receive our orders and desert.

Good and affordable Sunday brunch. The buffet was well monitored and as food was low or stated to get old it was refreshed quickly. Lovely atmosphere and good service.

After waiting in 2 different long lines we finally just came here because we had been during a previous stay at the resort. They have a breakfast buffet with the standard toast, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, French toast, hash browns, fruit, granola and varies muffins, etc. For approximately $ 12/person it’s a decent breakfast with variety and no long lines!

I would like to introduce you to the team that offered us outstanding service in Canmore. Starting from the left: Michelle, Wayne, Steve and Vinod(Chefs). We highly recommend this place. Food was outstanding at a very good price. A hidden jewel of Canmore. We shared the Chateaubriand menu for 2 and had a cheese plater for dessert. I will going back very soon!

19th wedding anniversary and ordered duck and my wife the chicken with mods. Great presentation and solid flavours. Service was spot on, so far one of the hidden secrets in Canmore with a menu good enough to excite a return visit. A must see and offers a local discount.

We were staying at Grande Rockies Resort and really couldn’t be bothered with going out for food on a couple of occations so we ate at the restaurant. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. First was lunch. Fish and chips were, well, fish and chips like anywhere else except the sauce was funky in a not very good way. Caprese flat bread was also meh. Next came breakfast. As my wife says«I had the ***-**** blueberry cinnimon french toast the ****ing turned out to be blueberry muffins battered and made in some sort of super carb french toast contraption.» So obviously she wasn’t very impressed, and I remember I swapped out my omelette with her.

HABITATFORALLOFHUMANITY! I’m a fan. Please eat here. My husband and I were staying at the Grand Rockies in Canmore where this beautiful, chic restaurant is located. Hearing that is was a great spot for date night, we thought why not stay close to our room and have some draaaanks. And the drinks? Amazing. My husband had the Release the Crackin’ and I had the DRAGONSLAYER! Both were delicious, these mixologists know what they’re doing! The menu is a set Table d’Hote. You pay the price of a main, BUT, you get your choice of starter and dessert. Um, I love this. We started with the Open-faced ravioli and crab cake. Fantastic. Finished with the Pork Duo and Duck with Panna Cotta and Fudge Bombe for dessert. Absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are exactly what they should be. Small to start, and monstrous for the main. Redonkulously delicious. Did I even TALK about the service yet? Greeted promptly, constant quick chats with both management and other servers. We felt like royalty. Christian, our server, was sweet, charming, and a total class act(unlike yours truly). He absolutely reminds you of how service SHOULD be. This is the restaurant to come to for a romantic meal, girls’ getaway supper, or some cocktails. HABITAT is elegant, stylish and trendy. A big city feel in the beautiful town of Canmore nestled in the mountains.
