The World of Burgers

This place makes the best burgers! I love that you get to put on your own toppings and sauces, to make sure it is just right. The patties are very flavourful and cooked perfectly for my liking. Fries are great too, super crispy. Every couple months I get a craving for a really good burger, and every time, this is where we end up going!

The burger to which I will compare all other burgers! Perfect bun, perfect patty, love, LOVE that you dress it yourself. Fries were great and a huge portion! Can’t wait to return.

When we first walked in, I was a little surprised by the look of the place. Tables were a bit askew, but generally clean. I ordered the mexican burger (specially seasoned and topped with an awesome gaucomole). You add your own toppings (LOTS to choose from). The chocolate milkshake was awesome! The fries are skinny, seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Costs more than a chain, BUT WAY BETTER.

Great burger and awesome fries! I really liked the fresh topping bar and the bun was fresh and lightly toasted. I’d definitely go back. My only complaint would be the lack of signage for how to order and pay. It was our first time there and it was a little confusing. I would suggest order pads on the table for customers to fill in as standing at the counter became hectic. Also it was loud and hectic in the restaurant, they need something to absorb notice.

The perfect Lunch after a 10k hike. Ordered the World 7oz Patty and it filled me right up. Burger was pretty fast and delicious. Can’t go wrong with a «self serve fixins» bar. Simple Menu. Large fries is a Large basket of fries, perfectly crispy and salted! I’d recommend it to all my Burger Buddies and will be back!

A man that I guessed was the owner was constantly running between the kitchen and the counter to help customers. No wonder there was a help wanted sign on the door. Nonetheless, he was quick to serve the food and help us.
I wasn’t too hungry and opted for fries. I noticed $ 3.50 for PBR and went for one to pretend my house was on wheels or cinder blocks. They’re delicious.
My friends were going nuts on their burgers. They were definitely made in-​house and loved by them both. The great idea that this place has is a «buffet» table for burgers. You top the burger with what you want and with how much. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles etc. Terrific idea and well received by my company as well.
Keep up the great work folks. I’ll stagger in for food as a drunken mess for delicious burger goodness eventually.

Great selection of toppings to cover the very average burger. Milkshake was good tho and the large fries were massive

We’ve been here three times in the last year. The venue itself is nice and clean. The burgers are also very good. It seems they’ve solved the hard parts; however the service leaves much to be desired.
All three times we waited an exorbitant amount of time for our food. On two of our visits the milkshakes didn’t come or came way after we’d finished our burgers and were the wrong flavour. The lady running the till was overwhelmed and the restaurant was only half full.
The guy in the kitchen was clearly frustrated and angry…
I would recommend this if they figured out how to improve their service and order fulfillment. Will likely not give this another shot.

So I have to be that reviewer, but all of the 5 star reviews that this restaurant have garnered, must be from an alternate universe.
The service was terrible. The poor woman at the counter was timid and her English was poor. She explained how the restaurant worked, which was straight forward enough for us to handle, burger joints shouldn’t be rocket science.
I ordered a Mexican burger which on the hand-​written menu claimed to have cilantro and chipotle cooked into the patty, with guacamole on top. Cool, and delicious sounding, right?!
Nope. Wrong.
Very wrong.
The burger was a limp, over pressed patty of sawdust, with something red speckled throughout. I think that was the chipotle. There was no cilantro. Not a speck. I love that shit. The guacamole was generous, so I had that going for me, which was nice.
My SO ordered a French burger with bacon. They had forgotten the bacon, and we needed to remind our server, much like we had to remind her of our drinks.
Okay, so the food sucked.
The décor was clean and presentable, but the kitchen staff sure lacked in manners. We sat at the back of the establishment, and upon hearing a crash from the kitchen, we also heard a resounding «Fuck!»
I know that kitchen staff are capable of inventing their own swear words on a regular basis, but in the name of restaurant etiquette you NEVER EVER let the restaurant guest hear you.
If this meal hadn’t cost me $ 35 after tip, I would have been all like, «whatever, it’s a burger joint, you get what you pay for» but it was 35 dollars!
They failed miserably, and have earned my generous star rating.

Fresh ingredients and a great burger. Very thankful that we found this place.
The place is immaculate. Had to laugh at the comment about the décor… who cares. If you want fancy go to Banff.
I care about good quality food that is served in a clean environment.

We walked in for a late lunch today (Fri of Labour Day weekend) and the place was empty. so the service was great. The young lady took our order, explained how we can dress the burger ourselves and the fountain drink had unlimited refills. When we said we’ll sit outside on the patio, she went out to make sure the table we wanted (with the shade) was clean. She also delivered the food to us. I had the 7 oz World Burger and my wife had the Chilli. The homemade burger was nicely seasoned, properly cooked and tasted good. The Chilli also tasted great with a little kick to it. We enjoyed our meal. If we come back this way, we will definitely stop by again.

I visited this restaurant today and was very impressed. It’s very hard nowadays to get an homemade hamburger. Most places choose to serve frozen patties. Not this place! Great burger! Great service, very helpful! The guy even gave a pail so I could give my thirsty doggies some water! Will be back again!

Probably they have good burgers, you go to the bar and fill your burger with all the topping you want but the décor is very disappointing. Nice view at the patio, but again very very simple décor. They should invest a bit in making the place more welcoming and avoid people running away ;) Come on, we are in Canmore!
