Went to Los Tres Gallos this week, was there 3 years ago, they have completed a total re-hab & it’s lovely, food we ordered was good, the margarita was excellent. Service good. My comment is small portions & high prices. parking in the area is hard to find.

Unilocaled this place. And so glad we did. We were looking for some GOOD authentic Mexican food, as well as excellent service. Not a whole lot reviews, but the reviews they did have seemed good. Of course, we were greeted from the moment we got out of the taxi. Friendly service. We were seated right away and then had a serve greet us right away. He came out quickly to offer us beverages and appetizers. Was very kind also and spoke some English. Our drinks came out fast and our appetizers came out faster. We ordered a side of guacamole… OMG! I am a avocado fan, and there guac was amazing! Perfect mix of spice and taste. So good. Hubby actually said he could tell this place was gonna be good by the décor and by the servers. He was right. We snacked on appetizers for a min and a few mins later our entrees cameo it sizzling hot. Something about Mexican women in heritage Mexican dresses… cooking in the kitchen, you just know it’s gonna be gold! And yeah, it was. Ok, long story short… good drinks, good environment, good service, and great food. Yeah, bookmark this place… cuz ur gonna wanna come Back. I know I am.

Great restaurant. Was there in mid January and the food and atmosphere was amazing. Slightly more expensive than other places but well worth it.

We never miss a chance at eating here. Our favorite little spot in Cabo for sure. The chile relleno is amazing! And the queso fondido is always the best way to start. Until next year!

Tres Gallos is tied with La Hacienda for my favorite restaurant in Cabo. Their Queso Fundido appetizer is really good; guacamole appetizer is small but delicious! My favorite dish here is the Enchiladas de Mole. If you like Mole this is the dish for you. The Chile Relleno is amazing as well! Service is top notch. If you visit Cabo it is a must.

Great outdoor feel but you feel like you are inside. I was told they went through a large remodel. My sister-in-law recommended Los Tres Gallos as her family has been here well over a dozen times while on vacation. This recommendation alone equals intriguingly good. Our group of eight adults and one two year old had no problem sitting at one table. We all ordered different meals starting with quesadilla and guacamole appetizers. I ordered two different margaritas with real mango and strawberry fruit juices. I had the seafood tacos of scallops, shrimp and fish, each being a little different on flour tortillas. Wonderful service, great food and great atmosphere.

You have to go here and ask for the owners a husband wife team and ask their story of how they started learn about his mother’s recipes and their commitment to authentic Mexican recipes. Located a couple of blocks off the main street it’s well worth the trip. It’s in an open air courtyard full of some beautiful trees. I like the tamarind margarita while my wife’s favorite is the hibiscus margarita. We started with a beautiful dalad of pineapple avocado jicama red onion and cheese I tried the queso which was tremendous. We then had both the flank steak and sea bass entrees which were both out of this world. All accompanied with home made tortllas. The service is remarkable all under the watchful eye of Ricardo. This was my second visit for the week and the owner’s came by the restaurant to say hello.

I don’t give 5 stars unless a place deserves it, this place was amazing. We had the pulled pork, Garlic Fish(Mahi Mahi) and Mexican salad app. All the food was unbelievable, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff was so nice. There was no pressure to spend extra money and the prices were very reasonable, a nice change from the marina area. The neighborhood around the restaurant is a bit rough but don’t let it hold you back, this is the one must in Cabo!

What a great little restaurant! I came here based on reviews alone and am so glad I did. It is walking distance from the Marina and is a very cute outdoor restaurant with a lot of ambiance and great character. Things started off with chips and three different types of salsa, alongside a mango margarita. I could have had this everyday while one vacation. For an appetizer we ordered the Gorditas, which were fantastic. To be honest I probably would have been quite satisfied and not overstuffed if I had just ordered a second appetizer and dessert. But, why would I do something like that? So I ordered the Chicken Mole as an entrée. This was just ok, and gave me a bit of food jealously. Making me wish that I would have ordered something different, such as one of their many enchiladas or tacos. But the other people in my party were quite happy with their entrees. For dessert I had the Tres Leches. I’m a huge Tres Leches fan, and this one did not disappoint.

Homemade tortillas were phenomenal. I ordered the queso and it was delicious. The lamb was just OK, but the mole enchiladas looked great.

Holy moly! This place is da bomb. Came on a Monday night with a group of 4 and there was a wait… we thought we could find something better and left. We. were. so. wrong. After wandering the Marina(pricey, touristy, lack of Mexican plates). we came back and were SO happy we did. First things first. the atmosphere is amazing. There are huge grills/outdoor cooking, tons of chili peppers, cute outdoor patio and the people are so sweet and kind. Upon sitting we were served 3 varities of salsas and each one was great– unlike any others I have had(one had OJ and Tequila in it. it was my favorite). Margaritas were strong and fresh!
Between the group, we ordered Chile Rellano, Seafood Tacos(With one lobster, one shrimp and one fish taco), Chicken Mole and Gorditas with Squash Blossom and Mushroom. Everyone loved everything. Best mole. Best fresh seafood tacos, new take on vegetarian Mexican with Gorditas– we shared. We sat in silence and we over ate. To top it all off– the meal wasn’t overly expensive! Each couple’s meal was the price of ONE entrée at the fancy marina restaurants. highly recommend. if I go back to Cabo I know where I will be eating

We got into Cabo pretty late one night and didn’t make it to the buffet so we decided to go out to dinner! The only thing we could do with our limited wifi is go on Unilocal and find the closest restaurant. We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant that was like an enchanted forest! The food was amazing! We got the three tacos dish and the steak. The steak was perfect and the scallops were perfect. The service was attentive and I just can’t get over how the great this restaurant’s ambience was! Even the bathroom had a cool sink that was like pouring water into a giant vase. I definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to go to Cabo and eating out

We were out looking for a lunch spot today, and the recommendation we received ended up being closed on Tuesday. So I pulled up Unilocal, checking for nearby restaurants, and Los Tres Gallos popped up, but it was supposedly not open until dinner. We checked out the menu as we walked by and thought, this is definitely dinner. So I called and made a reservation for 4. Service: attentive, friendly, and welcoming. From the reservation when they asked about food restrictions, to the adjustment in our jalapeño margarita because we like it spicy, to our waiter offering to run down the street to buy churros for the kids dessert, and most memorable, the owner stopping by our table to ask if we wanted to move inside because there were raindrops and our main course was about to be served. Class Act! The drinks: who doesn’t love a jalapeño margarita! And the recommendation of the extra anejo to end the dinner — spot on! The food: we ordered the huilacotche gordita and the nopale as appetizers. Perfect portion, with lots of flavor. It was our first time trying huilacotche and even the kids enjoyed it. The mains were out of this world. The Mole is exquisite — a wonderful balance of chocolate, and spices. I had the arrancha steak which was cooked to perfection, and every bite with the nopale and grilled onions just woke the taste buds. Ranjit ordered the cochinitas del pibil, and the meat was tender and packed a punch. thank goodness he shared! This meal is why I won’t have Mexican back in the U.S. And why you should just wander around Cabo, you might just stumble onto a gem.

If you are bored with the typical house margarita, this is the place to come and delight your taste buds with a delicious variety of margarita flavors that actually make sense(I.e. no banana or kiwi here!). The choices – jalapeño, hibiscus, tamarind, and mango. I ordered the mango and my husband ordered the tamarind, and while the mango was good, I was immediately coveting that tamarind margarita. Good thing the salsa that came with our ceviche singed my nose hairs and tongue so that I had to down that mango margarita and promptly order a tamarind one! Speaking of ceviche, you should order it – excellent! For entrees, I tried the chicken mole and my better half ordered a New York steak. He wasn’t feeling like enchiladas or mole and isn’t much of a seafood eater, so that left steak. Steak was just ok, but he was really impressed with the fresh baked bread that came with it. I enjoyed my mole, especially since they really make an authentic sauce from scratch. Portions also generous – we could have easily shared an entrée, but we have very different tastes in food. And save room for dessert or take it to go – tres leches cake. This is not the soggy tres leches cake you will get in the states – much better. I wasn’t a fan of this dessert before, but I am now! Overall, I highly recommend this place for a charming, more authentic type dinner experience. The setting reminds me a great deal of my friend’s parents’ home in Guadalajara, with an outdoor kitchen and cute courtyard dining area.

where tourists go to eat dinner. not one local here. went on a thursday without a reservation, waited an hour. you can drink and have apps if you’d like while you wait. food here was good but nothing crazy. spicy salsa is addicting. shared the carne and chile relleno. both good. my parents would love this place, which is the biggest reason i won’t be back next time i’m in town.

This place feels like you are at the home of a little old Mexican lady and most seating is outside. They provide blankets if its chilly out. The waitstaff is friendly and service is on point. We initially went for drinks but had to go back for dinner. Drinks: get the Jalapeño or Hibiscus Margaritas(best with chips and tres salsas) The Tortilla soup was a perfect starter. The broth was perfectly seasoned with cubes of Mexican cheese and fresh, crispy tortilla strips served in a handmade terra cotta bowl. For my Entrée I had the Mole Con Pollo, which was hands down the best I have ever had anywhere. Sweet, rich, smokey and delicious Mole over chicken breast served with Spanish rice, beans and fresh corn tortillas. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Cabo.

Went here for dinner with my wife. We shared the gorditas for an appetizer which was very delicious. For our main course we both had Mole dishes. She had the chicken mole enchiladas and I had the chicken mole which you can have with chicken breast or thighs.(I asked for one of each) both dishes were presented beautifully and tasted just as wonderful. For desert we shared some flan with strawberries. Service was great. Attentive but not all in your face. Great value for a sit down dining experience in Cabo as things tend to be very pricey out there. SIDENOTE: Major Credit Cards Welcome
