Not worth it we are now headed to go eat some real food. It’s like I ate but I didn’t eat still hungry. My whole dinner could fit in a 4year Olds hand

Navios is high on atmosphere with a romantic setting overlooking the bay. Best time to be there is before sunset. The food is a fresh take on Mexican seafood dishes. For starters, the Bambo Shrimp Avocado salad is a good start. The Camronillas or Pescadillas are two other tasty options. For entrees, the Popeye filet, steam cooked grouper topped with shrimp, spinach, bacon, cheese and cream. The Shrimp Turban is another good choice. The desserts looked good but we were too full to try them.

Great ambiance, food and service. You have to come here during sunset. The best views. Make reservations at least a few days in advance if you want one of the four best tables on the water for a sunset dinner. One of the two end huts on the water usually has 3 tables for two for a great romantic dinner the other of the two en huts has a table for six. Food was great. Service was great.

The view is great eating on the watet. Food so so. Not a lot of flavor. Had the Tuna Steak. Needed more seasoning or a sauce over it. Scallops and clams birria. Not a great combination three clams had shrimp instead of scallop. Beef broth. Would have been better with a wine sauce. Figure $ 40 to $ 60 per person for a view. Has a chance if the offer different sauces to complete the meal.

We had a wonderful dinner here on our vacation. I’m so glad I found this on Unilocal before going to Cancun, its set right off the road next to a bunch of hotels, but we would have walked right past it if we didn’t know it was there. The food was so delicious, especially the tuna tostadas, and the scenery was gorgeous. Perfect date spot.

What an amazing experience! Food was delicious and the seating was right on the water. I mean literally on top of the water. The only complaint or suggestions would be a little more enclosure for the windy days. It got fairly chilly and the night settled in. Other than that, fantastic dinner.

Absolutely loved it! My family and I went there for a late night dinner and the location/view was absolutely breathtaking! We even got our own bungalow. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The Octopus carpaccio was would totally recommend it especially for couples/romantic dinner.

This Mexican fusion restaurant offers terrace dining on a pier on the lagoon as well as inside dining under a grand palapa. Come for sunset and you will be enchanted with the view. If you have a party of six or more, ask for a reservations on the palapa covered side terraces overlooking the water. The food is excellent with surprising flavors. We began with the bamboo avocado salad, the seafood soup with clams, and marlin tacos. For our main courses we ordered the grilled octopus and the seafood duo with crab and shrimp, both accompanied by perfectly al dente vegetables of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and snap peas. We brought a special bottle of wine to celebrate. Corkage was 300 pesos. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant was fully booked and reservations are definitely recommended. As far as location, Navios is tops. As in other lagoon dining establishments, you may see crocodiles after dark.

Beautiful setting on the water. I ordered Tuna Steak. It was great. I also had the best Clam Chowder. If you like seafood and a romantic setting, you can’t go wrong with Navio’s.

Excellent Service, Setting, and Food. Watched the sunset from a thatch roofed pier reaching into the bay while you had some of the best prepared seafood we have had in some time. Prices were extremely reasonable compared to what we had seen at other restaurants in the Hotel zone. This place would be packed if it was not for all the inclusive resorts in the area. It would have been a shame to settle for a resort inclusive dinner and miss Navios!

The food was incredible, only beaten by the view. Set behind a weird little trail behind some trees it’s something you wouldn’t find unless you know to look for it.

Beautiful place to eat and watch the sunset. Music is great, very romantic. There is live performance on Thursday and Friday night, which was very nice. The food is very reasonably priced. We ordered the special with 2 lobster, a dozen of huge tiger shrimps, grouper and squid. We could not finish everything. Great presentation and taste, service was fantastic. Will definitely return when back to Cancun.

This was our second time here after a great first experience & it did not disappoint. The service was fantastic, the waitstaff was attentive, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was unparalleled. We highly recommend the green ceviche, octopus castacan, pescadillas and the Veracruz fish.

Beautiful setting on the lagoon with amazing food! I want to point out how helpful they are with food allergies and restrictions. Our server Braulio was especially helpful and accommodating. The entire staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are very reasonable too!

Dinner was phenomenal. The restaurant its self is stunning and the wait staff very friendly and attentive. I order the surf and turf dinner which was delicious and my husband ordered the grilled octopus which he said was also very good. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Great for a romantic dinner during the sunset. Its absolutely gorgeous and the food is great!

We were told they were open for«lunch,» but it’s really more of a dinner venue. Everything we ordered was great. Standouts were the clam«chowder» with asparagus, the ceviche, and the Popeye grouper. The location offers a view of the lagoon, and we were told they have a saxophone player on Thursday and Saturday nights. The service was very good, as well. Friendly and courteous. We’re going back!

I was recently in Cancun and this was very close to where I was staying. It’s hidden. small, quaint, and gets pretty busy. The property is beautiful, there is a main dining room and then several bungalows as well as dining on the deck on the way to the bungalows. Plusses: Scenery is great. Overlooks the lagoon, sunsets — this is a great place to be. There isn’t a huge overwhelming menu. There is a lot to choose from but not crazy like other restaurants. It’s fairly easy to get in to. The Clam shell with melted cheese is pretty great — there is a flavor in this that I am not really sure what it is, but is pretty delicious. We went here twice, and twice we ordered this. I was bummed that the scallop steak on the website menu wasn’t available. So I would say the menu online isn’t updated as frequently as the actual menu is. So I have to say, I am not a huge fish eater and had chicken.(If there had been scallops, I would have loved that) but my friend had the Tuna Steak(and she is an avid fish eater) and thought it was great. Prices are reasonable. Crocodiles live below. Watch for them. Can’t see them at night. My only minus was the 2nd time I went, the service definitely waned. It was New Year’s day, and there were a couple large parties, but didn’t seem like it would be too bad to have some good service. Otherwise, a beautiful, hidden setting, and well worth it. Minus — the reservations are via email or phone — so if you are travelling from the US, your best bet is to call them or have the concierge make the reservation, because they don’t check their email that often.

We had dinner at there yesterday, This is the worst place we went in Cancun. The food and service were super terrible. We asked for refilling water for at least 5 times!!! It also took them half an hour just for check. The food tasted really bad. I will strongly not recommend anyone to this place!

If you’re willing to leave your resort for dining, check this place out! It’s over a lagoon and many of the tables are separated on their own private bungalow/dock. Just below where you’re dining you’ll see some salt water crocs hanging out.(insert scared emoji). The waiters named the crocs, which is pretty hilarious. It’s a unique, authentic dining experience– very different than anywhere I’ve been on my past trips to Mexico.

We heard about Navios from our shuttle driver on the way to our hotel. All we knew is that it was a seafood restaurant but had no clue what to expect. The sun had already settled so it was a surprise in every direction from the kids play area that looked like a tree house to the large dinning area as you first walk in. The hostess took us past this area onto the lagoon area where 4 in closed private dinning rooms looked like a setting of a romantic movie. So you get the picture its an impressive restaurant with very attentive staff. The evening started with Tamarand Margaritas that were the best in Cancun. I decided on the Chefs fried fish of the day that was so delightful I didnt want to share. It was full of tender white meat that easily peeled off and the skin was crispy that added to the incredible flavor. I also tried a few items on the appetizer menu that are a must especially the tuna wrapped in paper thin slices of avocado. It was one of the best meals I have experienced in Mexico I want to return to Cancun to try other dishes at Navios.

Excellent restaurant. Best local fried fish-hog fish-I have had at any restaurant in a long time since Chanwahon opened in Las Vegas years back. Staff was attentive if not so abundant that they kept bouncing off of each other and asking us the same questions. Would you like a drink? Would you like a drink? Would you like to drink? Setting was attacked you were on the bay on a pure. Small issue with mosquitoes when the wind died down. One real strike was the obnoxious loud music with repulsive lyrics that they were cranking out constantly. Fabulous Mexican meal with drinks for 40US. High for Mexico but worth it! Get a table without a light as you’ll be less bothered by the bugs, and ask for the Habanero garlic & oil sauce!!! Muy Rico! Glen

I’m struggling with a 2 or 3. I feel like the«Meh. I’ve experience better» is 100% how I feel about this place. But 2 star just seems low. Atmosphere — 5 If I could give any higher of a rating for atmosphere, I would! The setting is outside. A perfect place for a sunset dinner. They have adorable thatched rooftops on part certain sections of the dining area. You are completely surrounded by water. Wait Staff — 3 There were times they were spot on and very attentive. However, when it counted, I felt they were no where to be seen. It took us 3 times to ask for our check — which took about 20 minutes. On a more positive note, they happily split my tables check. Which, I know can be a pain. I really appreciated that. Food — 2 This place I felt wanted to be a fancy restaurant — they tried to do the whole smaller portions/looks fancy on your plate kind of deal. However, the food did not taste that good. There was a party of 4 of us and we all got something different. No one walked away happy with their meal. Overall, I would never go back. Even for the breathtaking view of the lagoon! The food was mediocre.

Last week we paid our second visit in 7 months to Cancun. We were staying at Club Med and decided to walk the beach to Navios. We had an amazing time here, a few bugs were pesky, but the views and staff were amazing as usual. I’ll have to admit that I was more impressed last time however, that could have been because we arrived on a saxophone night — great entertainment. It was pretty dead due to the slow season so we were seated in one of the lagoon top cabanas/palapas. We ordered 3 meals only that were all delicious and a bottle of wine. The lobster was a little cool. but not a huge deal. Great for kids, amazing sunsets and wonderful staff. We would go back again and again if we weren’t so over Cancun itself. Great job guys.
