First things first: the kebabs aren’t actually shaped like rockets. Let’s all just deal with that disappointment and move on. The kebabs are, however, pretty good. Not the best I’ve had in Auckland, but certainly the best I’ve had in Mt Albert. And good enough that I’d have them again. The set up is exactly what you’re familiar with if you’ve ever had a kebab in New Zealand — meat, falafel, salads, sauces. Wrap or rice. You know. The service was friendly enough, and prompt about making our food, so no complaints there. Like the other establishments in this block of shops, Rocket Kebabs enjoys the benefit of having Rocket Park right across the road, which is a nice place to eat your food if the sun’s shining.
