La Casa Argentina

Compared to the other Argentinian restaurants in Prague it’s not a great option. Don’t get me wrong they serve great steaks but the prices are a bit steeper than I’d like. It’s rather large, atmospheric and pretty noisy place.

Très bon! Tarifs un peu élever mais ça les vaut. Restaurant énorme, attention de né pas avoir une table trop près des musicien.

Food was good but service was painfully slow. It took over an hour for the main courses to arrive after the starters. And smoking is allowed inside as well which is not pleasant.
I had shrimps for starters and a strip loin steak and both were excellent, but the service is in need of improvement.

We love this place very much. The steak is allways amazing and I am not big fan of red meat. One time I had the chicken and that was very dry but other then that the place is really good, beautifull and great service.

Excellent steak et cuisson parfaite, sauce au bleu bonne, mais sauce au poivre moyenne. Très dispendieux vin et repas, 2 petites bières, 2 verres de vins, 2 filets mignons vraiment tendres.

I’ve eaten here twice, and although the food has been quite good (I’d say ⁴⁄₅ stars on the food) the prices are outrageous for Prague. Steaks cost ~1000czk and sides/​sauce are extra. 75 czk for a marinade seems absurd to me anywhere.
The atmosphere is a HUGE bar with fish tanks everywhere. Sometimes there will be salsa dancers for entertainment, although due to the layout they may not be within view of where you sit. Definitely a bit loud, at least during the times I went.
Not an awful experience, but there are cheaper options for better experiences all throughout Prague.

Wenn man geschäftlich unterwegs ist und unter der Woche zu relativ später Stunde noch etwas essen möchte, muss man Glück haben. Besonders wenn man im Ausland ist. Das «La Casa Argentina» befindet sich in der Prager Altstadt. Die Parkplatzsuche erwies sich überraschenderweise relativ einfach, in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Laden haben wir einen Parkplatz ergattert.
Beim betreten des Ladens wurden wir schon von einer freundlichen Dame empfangen und an einen Tisch gesetzt. Prompt bekamen wir eine Speisekarte in Form eines iPad’s in die Hand gedrückt, welches die Speise– und Getränkekarte anbot — und das in vier Sprachen (deutsch war jedoch nicht dabei). Es gibt eine überschaubare, aber dennoch üppige Auswahl an Steaks und Beilagen.
Die Steaks werden in einem von Gästen einsehbaren Küchenbereich über Feuer aus Holzscheiteln gegrillt. Das fand ich richtig rustikal und passt auch sonst zur sehr gelungenen Einrichtung des Ladens. Das Essen war auf den Punkt gegrillt und auch die Beilagen waren von guter Qualität. Besonderes Highlight an dem Abend war, dass wohl in dem Laden öfter Livemusik gespielt wird. Ich kann euch eins sagen: Ich hab selten so eine gute Sängerin wie dort erlebt.
Fazit: Sehr geräumige Räumlichkeiten, die schön eingerichtet sind. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Essen top. Preislich in höherem Bereich angesiedelt. Ein Rib-​Eye Steak kostet ohne Beilagen ungerechnet 25 Euro (680 CZK). Selbst Kobe und Wagyu-​Steak sind hier zu finden. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

This place is huge ! I counted 4 rooms for dinner, and one assigned for drinks next to the bar. Musicians (piano and guitare) do turn-​overs between the different rooms.
Each room has its own atmosphere, I had dinner upstairs in the «aquatic and beach theme» room.
Dancers happen to make some short shows time to time: so a lot of animations all night long.
The meat was delicious. Since its imported and HIGH quality, be prepared for high price of course. Cocktails were perfect (I tested the passion fruit caiprioska: de-​li-​cious !) A great choice of rum !

A big disappointment. Service was fair given the fact that it’s in Czech Republic. The food was really bad, I ordered rib eye=dry, no taste. They offer sauces to go with steak, not sure about Argentina but haven’t seen a steak with sauce in my life. For the price it’s not worth it, wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend. Perhaps for drinks, but you’re in Prague after all

Perfect location (couldn’t be more central located), very pleasant service — they even don’t bother explaining to you how to wine taste, live music (piano, guitar — original Argentinian), short dance performance in between — to freshen up the atmosphere, pleasant interior, bit more expensive but worth the service and the offered range.

La Casa Argentina is really awesome!
The first thing you should know about this place is that it’s usually necessary to make a reservation. We found it while walking around the Old City and entered straight away. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any free table, even though it’s a really big locale, so we left and booked one for the day after.
The restaurant is really spacious — there are two big rooms with lots of tables. It is divided into two sections: for smokers and non-​smokers. The atmosphere there is great — the décor is thematicly conected with Argentina. There is a fish tank with piranhas in it and a very big cage where you can see a toucan. What’s more, every day you can enjoy live entertainment. Dancers and a band are performing mainly in the front dining area and bar, but the dancers move all around so all the guests are able to see the show.
The menu is on an iPad so it’s available in multiple languages. There are pictures and descriptions of every course. We ordered non-​alcoholic aperitives, which arrived quickly and were tasty. We both chose the same starter — fresh goat cream cheese in puff pastry served with cherry reduction, glazed walnuts and salad with pea shoots — and it was incredible. My fiancé decided on the Omaha rebuy steak (medium) as his main course. I usually don’t like red meat, but I figured if I want to try a good steak, this is the place to do that. I chose Omaha filet mignon because the waiter recommended it as a very tender meat. I still took it well done (sorry, steak-​lovers :D). You have to buy sauces and sides separately, so let me recommend potato purée, as it was delicious and my favourite part of the meal. Both steaks were really really good, top quality. We left the choice of wine to the waiter (as we don’t know anything about it) and were satisfied. After the meal we were stuffed and happy. We ordered churros to share as a desert and watched some live entertainment. The churros were served with not only chocolate-​cardamom salsa but also banana-​pineapple one, which was new to me but I liked it loads.
We spent nearly 3,5 h there, but it was such a nice time that we barely noticed it. The atmosphere and service was great and we enjoyed ourselves very much. But I have to say it’s not a cheap place. Our stakes cost 1150 Kč and 1650 Kč and they weren’t the most expensive ones there, so you must be prepared to spend a lot of money. However, you will not regret it!

We stopped in for an early dinner. Service and atmosphere was great. I had used the web page to make reservations. This worked very well.
Next time we are in Prague I am definitely going back!

La Casa Argentina used to be for many years one of my most favorite restaurants in Prague. This amazing latino restaurant with great atmosphere and live dancing shows in the evening was the place to go for romantic dinners as well as nights out with friends. Thanks to its central location in the Dlouha Street, which is full of bars, it is a great starting spot .
They have steaks of the highest quality and also their wine menu is very well selected. Recently, however, I have to say that the level of service and also the quality of meals have deteriorated and unfortunately when I came here a couple of times with my English-​speaking friends I encountered unfair approach. Also, the service has become rather slow. I wish I could rate it 5-​stars but with the deteriorating service I cannot give more than 4. In reality, at the moment it would deserve even less but I hope that it is just some temporary situation that will improve soon.

Really weird to find this place inside of Prague, but it was really good actually. They had live music and dancers and a fish tank with piranhas in it. How cool is that?
The food was really good as well, some of the better steak I have had in the region. I would stop in here for dinner at least once if you are in town.

Have been here yesterday on recommendation of a good friend. I ordered a Beef Filet and my gf had a mixed grill. As a starter we had soup and salad.
Food: Is nice prepared and very delicious. My filet was good but to be honest I had expected more after all reviews and recommendations. I had more tender filet in Zurich’s steak houses (of course double priced — Switzerland though). That’s why I give a good 4 star but not a 5.

Great atmosphere, great stakes… they also have a cigar lounge for cigar afecionados… make sure you reserve in advance bcuse weekend is difficult to find space for dinner.

My absolute favorite restaurant when I lived in Prague! Always had the best times here and excellent dinners, as the food is marvelous. I love this place because you do not even feel like you are in the heart of Europe, it’s a perfect way to escape to Latin America for the night. This restaurant is also owned & operated by the same people who own the Cuban bar & restaurant on Kaprova street in the centre, La Bodeguita del Medio (another one of my favs in Praha).
The atmosphere at La Casa Argentina is great with live music, tango dancers & the awesome Argentinian theme of the place. The front room has ceilings painted like the sky and a small dance floor for the performers with a piranha tank in the background, the middle room is decorated like a jungle (theres even an iguana cage) and the back room consists of a pirate themed bar with swinging chairs. The steak is delicious here and I usually get it with a baked potato with cream sauce & veg. Make sure to try their specialty drinks which are also yummy such as the peron, fruit filled martinis, mojitos or pisco sour. Amazing place, delicious food, great entertainment, what more can you ask for?

Ate dinner here last night. Full dinner will run around 100.00USD per person. Ordering was a bit confusing as they use an iPad for the menu and everything is aka cart. Sreak quality was excellent however both steaks had to be sent back as they were under cooked. It took around 35 minutes to get our food. All in all a good atmosphere and good meat but service could be improved a bit regarding these issues.

Love everything about this place – from the steak, to the live entertainment, to the décor, to the fact the restaurant is cigar-​friendly.
This restaurant is owned by the same group that runs La Bodeguita del Medio. I find surprising to see how Latin culture and cuisine has been widely accepted, in all places, Prague – but maybe the thought of warm weather climates during the middle of a Czech winter has something to do with it.
Very good – though not inexpensive – steak and great sides. You also have the option of just coming in and grabbing a drink while listening to tango and/​or salsa music. Fire up a cigar that can be purchased from the bar or bring one with you from the La Casa del Habano next door. Either way you are in for a night of outstanding food and entertainment. A bit older crowd than their sister La Bodeguita del Medio, but fun nonetheless. And the piranha tank in the middle of the restaurant is fantastic. A must visit.

Ich muss sagen, das Ambiente war echt überragend. Live Music, plötzlich tanzende latinos um einem herum … Sehe Bunt, lebendig und Laut. Perfekt für Freitag Abend.
Nach einem Trink an der Theke, war auch ein Tisch frei. Leider leider ganz hinten versteckt an der Küche vorbei aber egal.
Das essen war wirklich hervorragend. Die Vorspeisen und die Hauptgänge.
Nachtisch hätten wir nicht mehr essen können.
Der Rotwein vom Haus und die Cocktails waren sehr lecker.
Es war ein schöner Abend, in eine sehr interessante Location.

If you like cheese, order the cheese board. 4 different kinds pared with honey and grapes. I do like to order the bread and olive tapenade to go along with it. So good. Steaks are always prepared well. I did try the octopus this go around. It was tender and had a nice grilled flavor. I usually swing in to this restaurant each time I’m in Prague. Actually went twice on this trip. There is always live entertainment. Dancers and/​or a band in the front dining area and bar. I do prefer to sit in this section of the restaurant because of the entertainment but it is very smoky. They do have no smoking areas throughout the massive restaurant but they tend to be quieter. Make a reservation, if you can.

Das Lokal ist sehr groß und dennoch liebevoll eingerichtet. Auffallend guter Service. Die Qualität des Fleisches war sehr gut. Allerdings wurde es teilweise englisch anstatt medium serviert. Das geht eigentlich nicht. Darüber hinaus ist das Essen für Prager Verhältnisse sehr teuer. Daher von mir zwei Punkte Abzug.

Sehr gutes Steak Restaurant, preis/​leistung ist sehr gut. Abends mit live Musik. Wir waren am gleichen Tag mittags und abends hier weil es so gut war!

Sehr großer Laden. Die Auswahl ist gut. Das Menü kann auf einem iPAD durchgeblättert werden. Es gibt zwischenduch Tango Argentino /​Salsa Shows und man wird gut bedient. Beim Wein hat uns die Bedienung etwas angeboten und nach der ersten Flasche heimlich auf einen anderen Wein gewechselt, was schon etwas frech war.
Die Cocktails sind zu empfehlen und die Steaks und Beilagen sind gut zubereitet und auch liebevoll angerichtet.

If you are looking for a great Steak-​Restaurant in Prague, go to La Casa Argentina.
The waiters are very friendly and helpful. The ambiance of this restaurant is nice, too. You can see a fish tank, a cage with parrots and another one with reptiles.
The menu offers a variety of food (check out their website there you can find the menu). I chose the Filet mignon with some side dishes. And it was delicious. The meat was tender, juicy and medium rare like I ordered it!
What I thought was a neat idea they stamp the cooking temperature (the way you want to eat your meat rare, medium rare, medium or well done) on zucchini-​slices. So there is no way the waiter can give you the wrong meat!
They have a well-​sorted wine list as well. Our waiter listended carefully what kind of wine we like, recommended a wine and we weren’t disappointed!
The prices in that restaurant are fair for that kind of quality what you get! Its worth it no doubt!
I would go there again!!!

Sehr schöner Laden am Rande der Altstadt. Argentinische Steaks so wie man es möchte. Gegrillt über einem offenen Holzkohlegrill. Die Einrichtung ist sehr stilvoll und hochwertig. Es gab sehr gute Cocktails, in einer großen Auswahl.
Die Steaks selber waren wirklich top, Ideal gebraten und sehr schön serviert. Netter Gag: wie das Steak gebraten ist wird auf eine Zucchini Scheibe gebrannt-​markt und liegt im Teller. Sehr nette Unterhaltung mit Livemusik und Salsa Tänzern.
Nicht ganz billig, aber auf alle Fälle sein Geld wert.
