Sehr schönes und stimmiges Ambiente, perfekter und sehr freundlicher Service. Sehr ordentliche Küche mit frischen Produkten. Zur schönen Atmosphäre trägt nicht zu letzt die stimmige, leise Hintergrundmusik bei.
Wir würden wieder hingehen. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen.

We got in around 4pm for a late lunch and saw the restaurant almost empty. We were seated in a comfy booth in restaurant and noted that every other table had a reservation placard on it by the time we left, so if you are planning for dinner here, a reservation may be a good idea.
After we ordered we were given bread with amazing butter. I wish I had a picture but this butter had herbs and literally stood as a small ball on an enormous plate. Pretty fancy butter.
We had the grilled salmon and deer steak. The salmon was perfectly grilled and the deer steak had a delicious plum sauce.
The server was very attentive and friendly. In the middle of our meal, he came by and asked if we wanted water, a gesture we never again saw in Prague, and very thoughtful as it was a hot day. I swear he put on a CD of Michael Buble after we came in too, he just somehow knew how to set the mood haha.

This was the best food we had in Prague. The server was wonderful. He was professional, kind, and accommodating. He had our family of 4 completely at ease, and we are uptight people (traveling with teens is not easy). It’s a small restaurant on a lower level, but manages to be very cozy and inviting. We were there during the middle of summer and although there was no air conditioning, we were absolutely comfortable.

We found this restaurant by accident. We had tickets to a near by theatre the restaurant we were touted was full so we walked and discovered a gem. The ambiance was very inviting. Like an elegant cave. It was conducive for warm and elegant dinning. The owner could not be more accommodating. The duck was perfect the perch fish was way above average. If you order the cheese plate make sure you get a half portion which is way too much. The mushroom soup is to die for The proprietor was just wonderful. A full meal with wine and beer and one shared dessert cost less than seventy dollars for four people. I highly recommend this restaurant especially if you plan to attend the black light image theatre just 100 meters away

I had this meal for the first time 4+ years ago and on a recent visit to Prague had to go back and try it, again. I remember it as one of the best bites of food I’ve ever had and was worried it wouldn’t live it. It does. It did. It’s so amazing. Try a bite with a bit of everything on the plate together. It’s magical.
Both times I’ve eaten there, it’s been a mix of tourists (due to its very central location) and local families. If you fancy a cocktail before or after, go to Hemingway Bar across the way.
Other than that, staff is so friendly and the menu is available in Czech and English. It’s not on the cheaper side for Prague, but if you’re used to London prices it feels really cheap.

We visited Rainer Maria Rilke after seeing a show at the magnificent National Theater. Its right around the corner on a side street off of Smetanovo.
It was a great introduction to Czech cuisine. We enjoyed the goat cheese appetizer with roasted vegetables. We then ordered the beef goulash and rabbit (along with everyone else in the restaurant). Both dishes were tasty.
Service was prompt & friendly. The food was good, but priced higher than similar restaurants in Prague.
