Catfish Hole No 3

As a huge fan of catfish, I had high hopes for this place. I went with my wife as recommended by her coworkers. We both thought the catfish was okay. It was nothing to write home about and definitely not good enough that it should be in the name of the restaurant. The price is also well above what I would consider for the quality of food.

Excellent as always! Best hush puppies with a cheerful waitress that kept em coming! The food is served family style with a set up of unlimited hush puppies, Cole slaw, pickles and tomato relish if you want it. Catfish is well seasoned and fried to perfection. You must say yes to the tomato relish, it’s as good as you’ll get anywhere. Also, don’t leave without using the new selfie machine, it’s a hoot.

As soon as you take your seat, someone from the wait staff is dropping off a round of fixins which consists of pickled green tomatoes, a bowl of cole slaw, and the aforementioned hushpuppies. I was warned about the hushpuppies before I got there, and gave one the taste test. After my sixth one, I decided that they tasted pretty good. The pickled tomatoes were definitely on point. They tasted like a cross between a tomato and a sweet banana pepper and were a pleasant surprise. I’d never heard of these before but I think they’d taste amazing in salads but were great on their own. Did I mention the fixins are bottomless? The star of the show was the catfish though. Served up family style, it’s a mound of fried goodness. The wait staff will drop off hot sauce if you ask for it and the tartar sauce is brought to the table when you sit. Our family left happily stuffed.

All the food is good, but they have the Best hushpuppies around. Weekends are very loud and crowded though.

If we were passing through again would choose somewhere else. Had blackened catfish 17.99 & lemon pepper catfish 14.99. Too exp for food that was just ok w a long wait. Def not a place for a quiet dinner.

The food here is excellent but they are not flexible about the sides. No substitutions allowed which made eating low carb a challenge but doable. The hush puppies must be amazing cause I’m sure my 8 yo Grand daughter ate a dozen before dinner arrived! Biggest complaint was the hostess did not take names, and we were told to just get in line which took forever with no method to the madness. That said. The food is worth the wait

Over rated expensive grease pit. Have tried multiple times to like this place. Over priced and exists on out of town word of mouth. Cross the street to the north east and try the catfish at the Harps deli. Catfish Hole should change their name to «The coleslaw, fountain drink, hush puppy, and tomato relish hole.» They’re all about the «fixins.» They stuff you with everything but the fish and then get huffy when you ask for fish. It’s a winning business model.

I really give this place 3 stars because their service is absolutely stellar. Their food however is very bland. I’ve had catfish, chicken, tilapia, and shrimp, and all were bland and generally unexciting. Price is on point, so not a terrible place if you just need to grab a bite.

Can’t say I liked catfish a whole lot until coming here. Every meal comes with «fixins» which includes hush puppies, green tomato relish, slaw, etc. A great family place to go when looking for a fast fish fried dinner! I recommend, I don’t know any restaurant like it.

An obvious must visit in NWArk! This place isn’t fooling around! They live up to their claim «the best choice for great catfish.» The moment you arrive you are greeted with hush puppies, tomato relish and slaw — side note these aren’t what you would call an appetizer they keep coming the whole meal! Before you can even think of wanting something there is always someone there to pour more in your cup and replace your sides. They definitely aren’t lacking in the service department. We got the fried catfish of course; being our first time here we were told this was a must. We all really enjoyed the texture and flavor.
I will definitely be back — it is a great place to take out of town friends!

If you like thin pieces of fish coated with batter this is the place to go. They will give you thicker pieces of fish if you ask for them. Decent service and fixings.

Love, love, love this place. The ONLY downside is they’re so dang busy it’s always crowded in there. Best hush puppies and catfish you can get plus the staff works so well as a team you are always taken care of. It’s a favorite and always will be.

WoW… sit down and they fix you up with cole slaw, green tomato relish AND some of the yummiest hush puppies I’ve ever eaten! But, don’t fill up on the freebies! You will not want to miss out on your entrée! I’ve eaten the blackened catfish here a couple of times … I don’t normally like catfish — but this made me change my mind! They know how to do it up right! Not cheap… but well worth it! Probably not the best place for a vegetarian to eat — but they could make a great meal of just the sides (if you ONLY want the «freebies» there’s a small charge — but you could certainly make a meal of them!!).
Oh, and did I mention that the service is amazing?!? Love places like this where everyone pitches in and they’re constantly refilling your drink glass and making sure you have plenty of fresh, yummy hush puppies!

Came in with the softball coaches on a recruiting trip with my daughter. What an experience. I can’t begin to describe it. The people, the FOOD, the hush puppies with honey butter. The greatest experience, food wise, from our trip.

This is the best. Period. The service is is top notch. You don’t have a single server so anyone that walks by is filling your drinks, more hush puppies or other unlimited fixin’s they bring.
But it’s the catfish that you come for and they don’t disappoint. I live on the East Coast now and find that there is no good catfish to be had. Catfish Hole prepares the fish properly, cornmeal and lightly fried. Not greasy or heavy. This is as good as it gets.

Best. Hush puppies. EVER!!! The service is wonderful! Pleasant staff. Excellent fish! We drive from Centerton to eat here! I wouldn’t trust the one bad review on here due to ALL of her restaurant reviews being «one star».

Always a fantastic lunch here. And free of the allergens for me. We typically eat the catfish. Love the family style. And the service has always been friendly and good even when it’s busy.
