This was the saddest pasta I’ve eaten in a long time. How can pasta be sad? Maybe the chefs were calling it names before they cooked it. Maybe it had just watched Requiem for a Dream. Whatever the case, this was extremely sad pasta. If I could have checked it into a sanctuary for sad pastas, I’d have brought it there myself. On the plus side, it came with an upset side salad and a disappointed loaf of bread. Because like they say… misery loves company!

Every couple of years I’ve gone here… it’s always as expected, you know? Nothing fancy but the food tastes the same and you get soup and ice cream for your meal too. I usually get minestrone. The clam chowder isn’t bad but could be more seasoned. If you, like me, are indecisive and get the potpourri spaghetti plate, you can just mix all those sauces together and make a plate of new secret sauce: call it a rose clam ragu if you want to be fancy, but mostly its because all the sauces will eventually mix anyway and the result is not bad! The lasagna is also good, just don’t look up the calories(trust me). The only thing that has changed is… sigh…the bread! It used to be the delicious warm freshly baked sourdough and now it is a pleasant warm fresh baked white bread. Service is usually fine. This most recent time the server was friendly and checked in with us during the meal. Everything came out quickly too. Will return for my comfort sauce mixture but please please bring back the sourdough!

Good size servings for a reasonable price. Great family restaurant. Marty was our server– he was friendly and efficient. Ordered seafood Alfredo with an upgrade of French onion soup. Tasted ok– nothing spectacular. Bread was complimentary and vanilla ice cream came with dinner price. It was my 1st time to have calamari served with red onion garnish … Impressed with how fast the food came. It’s one of the few reasonably priced family restaurants in Whistler.

I came to Whistler with my family and We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. I had steak and it was great, the beer was too, since it was huge. The prices were good since you got such huge portions. The wait was ok but it was a bit crowded that is the only thing really bugging me. So All in All, The Old Spaghetti Factory was great and I’d definitely come back here. I would recommend coming to The Old Spaghetti Factory if you had the chance.

We came here after the other Italian place we wanted to go was full and we really enjoyed ourselves. You just have go have realistic expectations when you come here that it’s not going to be the best food or service but you’ll get big portions for what you pay for. I was actually quite happy with my meal. The garlic butter was so good on the bread and my pasta wasn’t bad at all. On top of everything our server was surprisingly super attentive and on point. Due to great service our expectations were exceeded and I don’t have anything bad to say.

We like coming here because we are familiar the restaurant. The portion and the prices are pretty good. I had Port-Pourri Spaghetti with Meat, Mushroom and Clam Sauce this time. I really liked the Mushroom Sauce so I will get the dish next time.

People will laugh, but I like this old standard. More for the old memories than anything, I like to visit here(every 10 years or so) just because it reminds me of a simpler time. I know what to order and leave full, quality,. meh. I suggest the manager’s special combing spicy meat sauce and the mizithra cheese.

I really really liked this restaurant! In comparison to other restaurants/pubs around the prices are very wallet friendly and the portions are massive. You get a complimentary fresh sourdough bread load with whipped butter(and extremely smelly garlic whipped butter) with your order. Then you get soup or salad and the mains are very filling and the price includes ice cream(or coffee/tea) as a dessert. So for the price of main(about $ 15+tax) you get all of the above food=) There are quite a few good veg options too: veg lasagna was delicious! AND if it’s someone’s birthday they will stick two firecracker sticks into your icecream and come as a group and sing Happy Birthday for you! Loved it=) p. s. Do expect to have significant lines on friday/sat nights during peak hours.

Came here after some snowboarding as didn’t feel like having pub food. Also the prices at the pubs are getting pricier. It is situated downstairs, under The Crystal Lodge. The menu here is good, the food is decent and the prices are really good. If you order pasta, it has a saying«It’s all included», which means you get a salad or soup, ice cream, and tea/coffee. You also get some bread with garlic and plain butter at the beginning. Most pasta range from $ 10.50 to $ 15. That’s a good deal for all that. The service is a little slow and the time for your food to arrive can sometimes take longer. A couple of tables got their food before us, even though we order a lot sooner than others. Our server was running around, maybe she had too many tables to serve. The place is big and it got really full by the time we got our food. It was half empty when we got there. Place is good for families, as you get a full meal for decent prices. Also there aren’t too many restaurants for families, as there are many pubs.

I liked it. The amount of food for the $ was crazy. For $ 13 I had a Caesar salad, spaghetti with meatballs(which was delicious), a bowl of ice cream, and had I wanted I could’ve also had a cup of coffee or tea — you can’t even get that value at McDonalds. My lunch was delicious. I’ll go back again for sure. Next time I’ll go to the haunted location in Gastown, just for fun.

Excellent customer service! Me and my girlfriend came by yesterday afternoon. Once you sit, server put immediately a bread with spreads! Price is really good! I would definitely go back! We spent $ 45 + tips for 2 Bellinis, the bread, 2 soups and 2 plates of pasta! Soups come with each plate! You can upgrade if you want! Excellent place!

Came here with my family for dinner on the Saturday of Family Day Long Weekend. The meal was good and our waiter was friendly, however there were excessive waits between appearances of our waiter for our meal to arrive and we waited for over 30 minutes for our bill to arrive at the end of our meal. My family had to leave without me while I remained waiting for the«manager» to arrive so I could pay the bill. Once he did finally arrive, he asked if I had been waiting long and I said«yes», «over 30 minutes!» His response was, «oh, sorry about that». Needless to say, I didn’t leave a tip! And I’m not sure I will recommend going here in the future.

We visited here on our final dinner in Whistler, and since we frequent the Old Spaghetti Factory at home in Honolulu we thought it would be a good option for the entire family. Street parking here can be a challenge so we opted to use the paid garage parking available nearby for a very reasonable fee. Tad bit of a walk to the restaurant, but a good choice. We were greeted and seated immediately, we’re early eaters(5pm) so there wasn’t a wait and introduced to Sophia as our waitress. Sophia did and exceptional job managing our family and insured that we were all well taken care of. The food was exactly what we expected, good quality, not great, but delivered in a timely manner. One thing that we love about The Old Spaghetti Factory is that every entrée comes with salad or soup, bread and ice cream for dessert. Exceptional bargain. Fantastic place to enjoy a decent meal with your family. Bear in mind that this restaurant has a tendency to be VERY loud, so conversation is quite difficult. Also, it gets EXTREMELY busy around the traditional dinner time(7−9pm), but they do take reservations … strongly suggested.

I’m going to preface my review by saying that I do not like the Old Spaghetti Factory, regardless of location. It was not my decision to go here but unfortunately I had no choice. I honestly wasn’t planning on writing a review as I felt it wasn’t fair to write about a place I had preconceived opinions of. However, our overall experience at this location was so poor that I think it deserves to be written about. The biggest issue at this location was the service. The server started things off by failing to take drink orders from the entire table. Why would only two in a large group want drinks? She seemed shocked when she came back and we asked if we could also order some. When those finally arrived after a lengthy wait, she took our meal orders and then we got to wait and wait and wait some more. They weren’t busy at all so there was no reason it should have taken as long as it did. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t worth the anticipation. As at any Old Spaghetti location, nothing is all that special The marinara sauce is way too sweet and the noodles are thick and starchy. Edible but definitely nothing special. I’d rather buy pre-made sauce and dry noodles to make in my apartment. There are waaaay better places to eat in Whistler. Don’t waste your time and money here.

Staff was nice and friendly. We ordered food to go and it took a while but we got what we were expecting. This place is nice for a cheaper meal in Whistler. Some of the places are overpriced for what you get but old spaghetti factory hits the spot. It’s applebees-esque and can’t really complain. It’s not the best food in the world but after enjoying Whistler, it’s comfort food.

3 course meal for $ 15? Heck yes! Paid $ 2 to up grade to a Cesar salad, which was worth it. The sour dough bread and garlic butter are so delicious. The pasta itself isn’t anything amazing. Had the chicken mushroom ravioli and seafood pasta. Both were filling. The Spumoni ice cream was quite good. Especially the green pistachio part. Overall, this is a great place for a nice, cheap family meal or if you are super hungry but want a sit down pasta place.

Don’t come here. First, you’re obviously here on vacation; be more adventurous than the Old Spaghetti Factory. I chose not to be and I wish I had. First, we called to see how busy it was the the guy on the phone was very rude. Second, the food didn’t come for an hour, is there only one cook? It’s pasta, let’s be real here. And the servers didn’t seem to frequent our area very often. We saw her three times in the hour before our food came. I like this restaurant. But I’ll be choosing something different next time I’m in Whistler.

I was super excited to eat here since I’m usually a fan of OSF and also to boot; they had different menu options for the Canada locations. They don’t take reservations and apparently they get super packed for dinner. We showed up around 6:45pm and were told it’d be a 5 – 10 min wait for 2 ppl. I had told the hostess it was for 2 plus stroller/high chair. So after 15 – 20 mins our pager goes off and we go back to the front entrance. The same hostess looks at me and says«Oh I thought you said 2.» I repeated to her that I had said a baby as well and she rudely told me that it’d be another 15 – 20 min wait. I asked her if it was possible if we could sit at the same table with holding the baby or a high chair. She told me no that it wasn’t possible and tried to move us back to the bottom of the list. I repeated my question and asked if there was no possible way that we could just have her sit on our lap and was told«maybe.» Another gal took us back to our table. Results? a) it was large enough to fit said baby plus one adult comfortably so I’m not sure what the beef was. b) there was more than enough room for a stroller to fit next to our table while allowing the table next to us to get in/out. Our waiter(Garrett) was absolutely the highlight of the experience as he was friendly & efficient and genuinely upbeat. He took our drink orders & then gave us time to review the menu. I wanted to try the clams with linguine since we don’t have that option in the States. We had some plans to meet up with friends at 8pm and so after our salads had arrived my husband asked Garrett to see how long our meals would be. He said the kitchen was pretty backed up but he’d ask them to see if they could rush ours. They did indeed rush ours and we had our food within 10 mins. That’s how a rockstar waiter gets the job done! Unfortunately, my clams didn’t come in the shell and it was super sandy/crusty. Every bite that I took was just sharp and made me fear of chipping a tooth. I didn’t touch much of my plate and Garrett noticed this when he came back. He asked me if I didn’t like the food; I explained why I wasn’t eating and he offered me a new dish but since we had plans I had to decline. He removed my order from the bill since he said I didn’t really eat much of it. This was the only thing that was great was HIS customer service was much better than the hostess’ up front. So overall, good value for the food but long lines and rude hostess’. So if you can bear the wait and overlook that then you should come eat here.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs! Our experience here, could have been worse, but the manager made it up to us by giving us 30% off our bill. Being Saturday night we made reservations as most places in Whistler are packed during supper time. Our appies and maine entrée took a very very very(did I say very) long time. The manager and our server were both super apologetic. I will come again, but maybe will try lunch instead when it’s not so busy, The food was hot and fabulous, how can you go wrong with spaghetti and meatballs!

Being a big eater, I’m a huge fan of their include everything menu, which gives you a soup or salad, entrée, dessert and a drink for ~$ 15 Their pasta is usually a little overcooked, in that it isn’t Al Dente, but that seems to be more of a standard for the more American-style Italian restaurants. Either way, the food is still tasty. Their soups and salads are good, and after the meal, you can always look forward to a cup of their spumoni ice cream(which is a mix of chocolate, vanilla and pistacchio ice cream). Waiting staff are very friendly and helpful. I tend to get dazzled by the excessive number of choices and the knowledge they have on the menu has been crucial indecisive customers like me make orders quickly. This place is often very busy for dinners, hence it may be smarter to eat here during lunch. The prices stay the same, so there’s no particular advantage, but at least you won’t have for a table from 5 – 15 minutes.
